Urine drug testing is used to detect recent drug use. Standard urine drug testing panels range from 5-10 drugs. We can offer more than 1,100 panels to meet any clients need.

All drug screening uses SAMHSA certified laboratories.

Instant/Rapid Urine Drug Testing

Instant/Rapid Urine drug testing give employers the opportunity to conduct urine testing and receive results in minutes opposed to lab-based testing.

All possible positive instant/rapid test is set to SAMHSA certified lab for further testing and reviewed by medical review officer when necessary.

DOT – Drug Testing

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) requires employees in safety-sensitive positions to participate in DOT Drug Testing Programs. A safety-sensitive employee is someone who holds a job that can impact both their own safety and the safety of the public.

The DOT covers several government agencies:

Federal Aviation Administration:

  • Air traffic controllers at non-FAA facilities
  • Air traffic controllers contracted by the U.S. military
  • Aircraft maintenance personnel
  • Aviation screeners
  • Flight attendants
  • Flight crews
  • Flight instructors
  • Ground security personnel

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holders who operate commercial motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) of 26,001 lbs. or greater.
  • Drivers of vehicles that carry 16 or more passengers
  • Drivers who transport hazardous materials

U.S. Coast Guard:

  • Crew members operating a commercial vessel.

Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration:

  • Emergency response personnel
  • Operations and maintenance personnel

Federal Railroad Administration:

  • Engine and train personnel
  • Hours of Service Act personnel
  • Train dispatchers

Federal Transit Administration:

  • Armed security
  • Controllers
  • Mechanics
  • Vehicle operators

Random Drug Testing

Random testing is performed on an unannounced and can be done monthly, quarterly, or even annually depending your company’s needs. Names are generated randomly by a computer program.

This type of testing is a huge deterrent since employees never know when their name will be called.

DOT Random Drug Testing

If you are an owner operator, you are required to be enrolled into a consortium random drug testing program. Smaller DOT regulated employers may elect to enroll into a random consortium testing program for compliance. Larger DOT regulated employers typically have a stand-alone random DOT testing program.
